“Victoria Clube de Golfe” is a championship course of 18-hole par 72 course, occupying a total area of 90 hectares and with a total distance of 6,560 meters. It is the most recent golf course project of Arnold Palmer in Portugal. As one of the best and most sophisticated golf courses in Europe, every care has been taken to ensure the preservation of the existing wetlands, the typical vegetation of carob, olives and almond trees, and several lakes, occupying 13 hectares.
The Oceanaico Victoria Golf Course features 5 or 6 tees per hole with wide undulating fairways, extensive water hazards and cleverly positioned bunkers. In addition there is an exceptional driving range and a putting green of some 2,500m². Oceanico Victoria is a unique, unforgettable experience for all who play there, and is a major venue for top international tournaments, hosting the Portugal Masters 2007-2014 and host to the PGA World Cup in 2005.
‘The Mirage’ (10th) is aptly named. Both drive and approach must avoid intrusive bunkers, shining in the sun. ‘ The Victoria Corner’ is the collection name for holes 11, 12, and 13 where, again, water hazards demand accuracy. The course features a magnificent modern clubhouse befitting a course of this standard , well-appointed reception area, a shop, lounge bar and a restaurant.
